e-bikes aka the Newport

I’ve been working on the Newport for about 18 months I think. I’ve built a good few electric bikes over the years, mostly for other brands (a part of my business is doing product development for other companies, building prototypes and creating test bikes etc), but this is the first time that I’ll be offering my own (Willow) pedal-assist, electric bike.

It’s taken me a long time to get here. For a good while, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to have an e-bike in the range, but the more I’ve worked on this, the more I like it. What I wanted to do was build something that was versatile and opened up riding opportunities that weren’t really there before.
